What the ??? could have caused such a reaction?
By the time we got to the doctor office, which was no more than 10 minutes away, she had welts all over her body and her eyes were almost shut. It was quite a site! Luckily her breathing was steady the whole time and her breathing was not compromised. I was so worried that her throat might swell up. Once we got into the office they whisked us back and began to check her lungs and throat to double check that it was fine. Thankfully it was! They ended up giving her a super dose of steroids in the office. By the time we left the office I could see the steriods working.
After all the swelling went down, I searched her body for a bite mark and found one on her ankle. The unfortunate part is we don't know what bit her. Hopefully this will never happen again but if it does I want to know what little creature is causing such a mess!Layne was such a trooper during this whole ordeal. She never cried and took her medicine like a champ. She is my sweet Laynebug...hopefully it was not a ladybug that bit her.
