My sweet little Layne decided to put stamps all over her legs right before we left to go over to the Crawford's for Easter brunch. I asked, "Why did you do that?" She had the most thoughtful and loveable answer. She said, "I am like my granddad. I love him!" Her granddad has a couple of tattoos on his leg and wanted to be just like him! I might worry about this later when she is 16 and wants tattoos like her granddad but for now I find it endearing. We spent the day celebrating at the Crawford's house with some of our friends. It was fun for the kids and the food was delicious. I think I ate enough to feed a small army.
Getting ready for their indoor egg hunting, since the rain left the grass mushy. They did not seem to mind at all.
Enjoying the fruits of their labor.
Godbrothers!
They ended the day with Cascarone eggs. They had fun cracking the confetti eggs all over each other.
Are you wondering why Bryce is carrying around a diaper? She loves Pamper diapers. She is insane over them! She says they smell good. So whenever we go to someone's house that uses Pampers she likes to "borrow" some for herself. She even snuck one home in her Easter basket (Sorry, Michelle). In case you think I am the meanest mommy for not buying them for her and making her wear stinky Huggies please remember she is a twin! It was double diapers even triple for while and Huggies are cheaper. You get more diapers in a box. My girls will be scarred for life because they had to wear Huggies and Graham had Pampers! :)
But back to Easter...
Layne's sad face when we ran out of eggs.Happy Easter!
The cool temperature did not keep this crew from hunting eggs. They were all ready and willing to brave the weather for some fun.

Egghausted from all that hard work!
Enjoying all the loot. They were on sugar highs all day long!
After all the egg hunting, we colored eggs. Overall, it was a success. No eggs were broken but I can also say that no eggs will be eaten either.

Later in the day, the kids were "camping" and this is how I found them when I realized all was too quite in the house.

This is what Bryce and Layne look like when they are in timeout. Check out the major differences in their expressions. Could not be more opposite! Layne was very upset that she had to take a timeout for throwing her brother's brand new remote control car. She was not ready to give up her turn...On the otherhand, Bryce decided she wanted to be in timeout as well and picked up the car and threw it across the floor. So here they sit!
Luckily they both got over it very quickly and joined Graham playing with his new car.

We planned to spend the day at the Dallas Arboretum and enjoy the blossoming tulips. However, the children had other plans and tulips were not part of it. After over an hour traffic jam to get there the kids were in no mood to sit and pose and look pretty for the camera. So instead of seeing beautiful background greenery, we have kids frolicking everywhere but near the flowers.
