2014 was filled with many visitors. One of the positive things about living in Peru is the proximity it is to the US. Our house was filled with family and friends in 2014. It has been such a blessing to be able to share this new country we call home with the people who are dear to us. From parents, to extended family, to friends who are like family~ THANK YOU for choosing to spend your holidays and vacations with us. Hoping more friends and family will be able to join us here in Peru for 2015! Bienvenidos a todos!
We wrapped up the year with another set of friends that we made in Singapore that have repatriated back to the US. We welcomed the Boersts into our home for the Christmas and New Year Festivities! Denise and her family were supposed to join us on Christmas Day but canceled flights, missed connections and lost luggage made for an interesting beginning to our holidays together. With a bumpy start we still managed to have a GREAT time. We made our way to Lunahuana for a couple of days of relaxing, whitewater river rafting, four wheeling and pool time. We were even able to cram in some time in Miraflores and Santa Maria beach before they had to head back to the frigid winter weather in Minnesota.

Getting ready to head out on the ATVs to see some ruins and tour around Lunahuana.
We also did some river rafting. It was a first for me and the children so I was a little intimidated but once we got started it was a great adventure! We had to split into 2 boats, so Brian and Layne went to another boat. So you can see 2 different rafts in the pictures.
***Layne was also the photographer for most of these photos****
