A stroll through the Patch

Fall is one of my favorite parts of the year. Come on, who does not like cooler weather, Halloween, pumpkins, sweatshirts and shorts, Thanksgiving and lets not forget the ever popular time change and that precious extra hour of sleep? One tradition that I have started with my kids is taking them to a pumpkin patch every year. Here is my stroll down memory lane... October 2008

Singing Debut

I caught Bryce singing into her microphone AKA vacuum cleaner. It was priceless. She is my entertainer of the family. She loves to sing and dance and be the center of attention. It may be hard to hear so turn it up but then turn it way down when you hear my horrific loud voice as I am trying to get Graham to be quiet. Also, take note of her little legs tapping away.

Pumpkin Patch

The kids and I took my mom to the airport after a fun-filled week of her spoiling all of us. I will sure miss her yummy dinners and I am sure the kids will miss everything about having her here like pudding for breakfast, donut holes, staying up late, videos galore, cuddles and kisses and playing games. Even though we were sad to see her go, we cheered ourselves up by making our annual trek to a pumpkin patch. The kids really enjoyed it this year. All 3 of them could find things that entertained them. I just had to make sure I could corral them together within eyesite. Bon Voyage. Grandad will be so happy for your return.Small, medium and largeBig Brother taking care of his sisters. Graham really wanted to pick this pumpkin up.
Layne is giving me the thumbs up as she follows Graham up the ladder. I was so worried she was not going to be able to keep up with Graham but she surprised me and was a superstar.
Bryce was excited to see Dora and Boots.
Graham loved seeing Spongebob.

Playing in a little house! She thought it was so fun.
And so did Layne.
Cleaning up before lunch so we could get our bellies full before we head back home.

Future Olympian

Graham competed in his 2nd Little Olympics and I think he may just be the next Gold medal winner in the Egg relay.

He reaped the rewards of all his dedication to training and devoured his popsicle.

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

I noticed this afternoon that the house was uncharacteristically quiet for a little too long. I ventured through the house looking for my little angels. I immediately saw trouble ahead when the bedroom door to the girls' room was closed and I could not hear any ruckus going on the other side of the door. When I opened the door I found 2 of my 3 covered in baby powder. When they noticed my presence Graham stated, " I am trying to smell beautiful like you mom!"
Oh brother, I am in trouble now...a master charmer or some may call it a master manipulator.

Houston Highlights

I loaded up the kids and the dog and headed to Houston for a long weekend. The drive down was uneventful (thank goodness) except for a little stop on the side of the road. Graham thought the grass needed a little watering. He was wrong...it needed alot of watering!

The kids were having so much fun hanging out with thier cousins, Jordyn and Jacob. Even the girls got into the mix and loved going to Aunt Aimee's house. Then Saturday rolled around and this is what I woke up to...a sick baby girl. Bryce spent the entire day sick. She must have changed outfits 10 times. Poor baby and poor Nona. She had to keep the wash going constantly. Her granddaughter needed fresh clothes and fresh blankets. Jordyn even had to pitch in and do a little holding in between hanging out with Layne, Graham and Jacob. Luckily, Bryce only caught a 48 hour bug because she was back to herself by Sunday night.
Layne is such the big girl now. She totally kept up with the big kids. She wanted to do EVERYTHING they did.
Here she is copying Jordyn.

and copying Jacob.

Finally imitating both Jacob and Graham.

Here is the dynamic duo, Jacob and Graham. They are attached at the hip. I barely saw Graham the entire weekend because Jacob kept him occupied and entertained.
