Mother's Day Weekend in Paracas

For Mother's Day this year we headed down to Paracas with some friends of ours for the weekend.  We stayed at Bamboo Paracas and stayed in little trailers.  It had more the feel of camping than staying in a resort.  The kids definitely had more free range on the property. We spent our days paddle boarding, bike riding, playing on the beach and being lazy in the hammocks.  Basically, just enjoying time away from Lima.

April Adventures

We kept our selves quite busy through the month of April.  The big news was Layne added braces to her smile.  We are in for about a year for this first round and then we see what happens next.

 We also said farewell to our beach house this month.  The final day that I was there to pack it up and clean, the rest of the beach was also closing down all the restaurants.  It was a bit bittersweet.

Graham placed 2nd in a golf tournament!  We were all so happy to see his hard work paying off.

 Brian and I and some of our friends went to see Cold Play in concert at the stadium.  It was an excellent show.  Even Brian liked it even though he didn't even know who Cold Play was when we bought the tickets. 

We were still able to squeeze in a day at Playa Santa Maria!

Cold weather is coming in little bursts now.  Cold in the morning but hot in the afternoon.  Winter will be here before to long.

Here is Layne at the end of April.  I can already see her teeth moving after 4 weeks.
