Summer 2016: Ranch Life

As always we like to spend the week of July 4th at our property about 3 hours west of Dallas.  Brian and the kids absolutely love it out there in nature.  We had a lot of visitors and plenty of time to relax and turn the technology off. It helps that there is no wi fi at the ranch.

Summer 2016...In the Beginning

Our summer break was filled with family and friends.  We especially loved spending time with the baby cousins. I can't begin to count how many times my kids asked me to have another baby.  We also spent time at the ranch, in Dallas, and bouncing around Houston...Spring Branch, Katy, Sugarland, and Spring.  The time goes by so fast but we love being able to reconnect with friends, family and of course all the amazing shopping and food we get to indulge.

We left Lima on the last day of school.  However, we were met with delay after delay.  It made for grumpy kids the next day but we were all so happy to make it Texas.
Our first night we Texas, we met up with our Singapore BFFs to celebrate Theresa's birthday!
Our second night in Texas, we headed to Katy to celebrate my parent's 45th wedding anniversary.  It was such a fun evening for my parents to have family and and friends around! We finally met our newest baby in the family, Michael.  Of course, we feel in love instantly!

We just a quick dose of Edie before we headed up to the ranch!

Jumping Through June

June is always a month that just seems to jump from beginning to end.  Closing out the school year, getting ready to travel to Texas, and of course the dreaded goodbyes to friends that are leaving.  This year we are saying farewell to Graham's first and closet friends that he made here in Lima.  While we love the experiences and adventures of living as an expat, the moving of friends gets harder as the kids get older.  But I always tell them that they will have friends in every part of the world!

One last weekend of surfing before Jacob and Aaron head back to the US.

Since Graham's friends are moving this year, we had a going away party for Jacob and Aaron.
