From the mouth of Graham...

Graham has said some interesting and amazing things this week. I never know what is going to come out of his mouth.

Mom, I feel my heart beeping (beating) real fast because Jesus is in my heart.
What kind of car will Jesus drive when he takes me to heaven?

We will need to take a cage with us so the sharks can't eat me when we go to the ocean.

We have had some severe weather here the past couple of days. It had Graham very concerned.

G:Why is the weatherman talking about fruit?
M: What?
G: He said there could be damaging winds and tomatoes.
M: You mean tor-na-does.
G: That's what I said.

The weatherman then talked about what to do in case of a tornado. Graham listened intently and understood everything he said. So we then discussed our plan of action and where we would go if we needed to take cover. Fast forward to 4:00 am and sirens blaring...

Mom get Sissys, we need to get in the closet by the stairs. The tomato is here!

I love that little guy! He is definitely the man of the house when his daddy is away.

Soccer anyone?

Graham survived his first soccer game. He even managed to score a few goals and only cried twice. I think that is pretty good considering there were 12 kids attacking the same ball and it did not matter what team you were on. I am sure by the end of the season our little Roadrunner team will be a fine tuned soccer machine...offense, defense, goal keepers, passing...who am I kidding these are 3 and 4 year olds. They just want to kick the ball in the goal. any.goal. It was fun seeing the excitement in the their eyes even if they scored in the wrong goal.

Trip down South for a wedding...in a car

for 7 long hours...no one slept, many videos were watched, and Mcdonald play areas were heaven. In the end, it was all worth it because we got to see many of Brian's relatives and Graham got to see his Great Grandmother Doffing. All Graham wanted to do was dance with his Gana at the wedding. The whole drive down he kept asking when was he going to get to dance with Gana. It was very sweet. It was also the first time Gana was able to meet the girls. Daddy's girls

March Madness!

Spring Break.Doctor Appointments.Play Dates.Family Visiting.Camp.Soccer Practice. Birthday Party.Easter.Trip to ER.

I don't think we could have crammed in anymore excitement this past week. I think we are all ready to get back into a routine Monday.

Bryce kicked off the week on a high note by being dismissed from her Developmental Doctor until age 4 for an evalution before she starts school (Layne was dismissed months ago). The Dr. said she is developmentally appropriate for her age and even ahead in some areas. Go Bryce!!! Bryce has even been dismissed from ECI (Early Childhood Intervention). She will only be monitored via phone until she is 3 or if I feel there is a need. Besides her small stature she is developmentally right on course. I even cut her Physical Therapy out. She will go back to her therapist when she turns 2 for a full evaluation. She is a typical.two.year.old. HOORAY!

Layne has enjoyed being home this week. She loves riding on the bike with her dad and squeals with delight when she gets to ride on his shoulders. Her favorite thing to do is play in the sandbox.
Layne did not want to get off the bike.
Graham started soccer this year. He is so excited. He has been wearing his jersey every second possible. He had his first practice this week and did real well until they had to run a lap at the end. He decided he was done with practice.

Graham also had his big 4 year old birthday party at McDonald's on Saturday. He loved it. He had his cousins, his girlfriend and all his friends and family to celebrate. After Graham blew out his candles he looked over at me and said, "Mom, am I 4 now?" Bryce and Layne also enjoyed climbing all over the equipment. This was the first time I actually let them explore. Their cousin, Jordyn, was a very good babysitter.

Easter was an exciting day for the kids. They colored eggs and could not wait to look for all the eggs the Easter bunny left for them in the backyard. Unfortunately, the weather turned cold and the kids had to bundle up for their hunt.

Of course we could not end March Madness aka Spring Break without a little drama. At 6:00 pm on Sunday night Bryce decided to trip and fall into the coffee table. She cut her left eye and and now has a black eye. So, I spent the better part of Sunday evening at the doctors. Luckily she did not have to get stitches but it was dramatic none the less.

I am in SERIOUS trouble!

This evening I put the girls to bed at 7:00 pm. This is actually later than normal, but with the time change we are all trying to adjust. They did not seem sleepy so I thought they would visit with one another for 5-10 minutes before falling asleep. 5- 10 minutes turned into 45 minutes of them chattering away. No one was crying so Graham and I went about our evening.

I was about to take Graham upstairs to get him ready for bed when all of a sudden I hear 2 distinctive voices calling me. Mommy! Mommy! over and over again. So I go to their room thinking they have thrown all their blankets and pacis out of their cribs and now they want them back so they can finally go to sleep. Instead what I see is 2 wide eyed girls standing in their cribs waiting for me to enter their room. As I entered their room they started LAUGHING hysterically and curled up into a ball and PRETENDED to be sleeping. I see big brown eyes and big blue eyes peeking up at me and then they would squeeze them shut if we made eye contact. SO CUTE!!!! They were so adorable in a playful way yet, the more I thought about it the more I realized that I am in serious trouble. They are already plotting schemes and they are only 21 months old!

70 on Monday, Snow on Tuesday

We woke up this morning to this.

Graham was very excited to get out there before it all melted away. He has been wanting to make a snow angel in the snow FOREVER. So at 7:15 this morning we headed to the backyard. This is Texas people, so no, we do not have any snow gear.

Bryce was a go getter as well. She charged right into the snow with no fear of the unknown.

Layne was a little apprehensive. She just watched her sister and brother venture into the snow.

Then, our snow party came to an abrupt end about 7:17 am.

Bryce's walk in the snow turned into a face dive into the snow resulting in this:

She was done!

As Bryce headed face first into the snow, Graham was attempting his snow angel. He neglected to think about the consequences of creating said snow angel.

This is him when he found out what happens after attempting a snow angel. Fun Times!

Finally, Layne realizes snow is not that great. She just stayed on the patio enjoying her paci and bunny while her brother and sister wailed about the cold and wetness of the snow.

Can you see the smile behind that paci?
