Brother and Sisters Sharing!

Sharing is such a difficult concept for 4 and 2 year olds. The girls are in the MINE stage and it is causing rifts with Graham. Being the big brother he knows the rules of sharing. He just has to get his sisters to buy into this sharing thing. With all the new presents the girls received for their birthday the sharing tension reached a peek. Some days I thought I no longer need 2 of everything...I need 3 of everything.

Here is why:
Graham wanted to dress up with his sisters. Luckily Layne was able to share parts of her out fit with her brother. Bryce had to wear the complete outfit. She was not willing to let one.single.piece come off her body.

I guess these pictures of Graham will be what I hold over his head when he is older. He will hate me for it but look how cute he is!

Since Bryce did not want to share her dress up clothes, she decided to share her crib.

Lastly, the girls are enjoying sharing an ice cream.

A typical Tuesday for birthday girls!

Today was a typical day except that my babies turned 2. It was a much bigger deal to me of course, but the girls enjoyed all the attention and presents.Just finishing our morning stroll in new dresses from their Godparents, Nathan and Jill.

Bryce and Layne wanting to make more wishes at the fountain.

Trying to get a posed picture of them but this is the best I could get.

Swimming anyone?

We reached 90 degrees today, so we busted out the backyard pool. Fun was had by all but one. Graham and Layne loved every minute of it. Bryce, on the other hand, wanted out as soon as she realized it was cold when the wind blew. She loved sitting in my lap as Graham and Layne splashed around.

Sitting Sisters

Bryce and Layne watching cartoons with their dolls. They insisted I cover everyone up.

As the girls get older they spend more and more time playing and interacting together. Layne does the infamous head tilt when she knows the camera is on her.

The girls are getting a head start on their big birthday by have a little cupcake with Nona. Layne gobbled hers up and Bryce decided she did not like her hands getting dirty with the icing.

Pony Party!

Our sweet friend, Shelby, had a pony party and the kids had a great time. Graham loved the pony. When he saw it he said, "Mom, my heart is coming out because I am so happy!" He rode the pink pony enough for everyone. It took Layne until the very end but she finally rode it as well. Bryce, my normal daredevil, would only pet it softly. She preferred the bunnies, ducks, goats and chickens. I think those animals are more her size.

Deja Vu at the water table

Spring has spung into action and we dusted off the water table for an afternoon of entertainment.

As I was watching them play I had a deja vu moment. It made me realize how quickly time goes go by. The girls will be 2 on May 20th. When I look at those old water table pictures it makes it a reality that my babies are no longer babies but kids. Bryce and Layne want to do everything Graham does...

like play with Play Doh outside,

sit on the coffee table when mom turns her back for 5 secs,

enjoy time with Grand Dad,

and play in the sandbox.

From the mouth of Graham...

Graham has said some interesting and amazing things this week. I never know what is going to come out of his mouth.

Mom, I feel my heart beeping (beating) real fast because Jesus is in my heart.
What kind of car will Jesus drive when he takes me to heaven?

We will need to take a cage with us so the sharks can't eat me when we go to the ocean.

We have had some severe weather here the past couple of days. It had Graham very concerned.

G:Why is the weatherman talking about fruit?
M: What?
G: He said there could be damaging winds and tomatoes.
M: You mean tor-na-does.
G: That's what I said.

The weatherman then talked about what to do in case of a tornado. Graham listened intently and understood everything he said. So we then discussed our plan of action and where we would go if we needed to take cover. Fast forward to 4:00 am and sirens blaring...

Mom get Sissys, we need to get in the closet by the stairs. The tomato is here!

I love that little guy! He is definitely the man of the house when his daddy is away.
