Pre-K First Day

Graham was off bright and early this morning to his first speech class with Ms. Christina at 8:00am at the "big" school and then off to Pre-K at Rainbow Days to join the other 4 year olds. New this year is that he has to do everything by himself ie...unpack back pack, put away lunch, and the most difficult is that the parents just drop off at the door. I could not even go in. Graham had no problem walking into class all by himself. I was a little sad but not as sad as his sisters. They threw a huge fit that they could not go in with their brother. Hopefully they will get used to it because I don't think I can handle that much crying 3x a week. Thursday will be the girls' first day to join Graham at Rainbow Days. They will go only 1x per week, which means I get 5 whole hours to myself. I wonder what I will do with myself...

At the big school...going to speech.

On the way into his school with his sisters.

At bedtime tonight he described his favorite part of the day which happened to be in music class and told me about all his old friends and how he even met some new friends in his class. As you can tell from his picture above he already loves his new teacher.

Labor Day Love

Bryce loves babies in particular this baby...meet baby Bennett.

She loved having him at our house. She wanted to hold him, feed him, put the paci in and went hysterical when he had to leave. I know...the rolls of baby love. I could just pinch the screen.

While Bennett napped the others played and ate the afternoon away.

Fashion Statements...I think.

One of my goals as I enter into this world of staying at home full time is to only use the computer (Blackberry does not count) when the children are asleep. I often get caught up in what I am doing on the computer and forget about the kids. However, this morning I HAD to use the computer to take care of some serious business...coordinating a photo session and outfits with several other moms...that will be a whole other blog on its own someday. I swear I was using the computer for about 10 minutes and this is what I found in my bathroom:
Apparently mascara goes on your cheeks and hair and not on your eyelashes. Luckily the mascara had not dried yet and it was not as difficult as I thought it was going to be to get it off. Even though Bryce had nothing to do with this fiasco I had to include her fashion sense as well...
Sunglasses on top of your head is all the rage when you are playing Playdoh at the table.

Pigtails~ maybe

I made my first attempt at pigtails. The girls loved them but my craftmanship needs some work. I am so pretty even with breakfast on my chin!

I am a princess mommy even if my head is lopsided.

Whatcha talking about Willis?

I am often shocked and surprised by some of the things that comes out of Graham's mouth. He is like a sponge and absorbs everything. He may not remember where his shoes are but he can pull things out of his head that blow my mind.

Graham: The monsters are going to get the bad people.
Mommy: Why just the bad people?
Graham: They have skin.
Mommy: Whatcha talking about Graham? Skin? Like what is on your body.
Graham: No mommy, s k i nnnnn, like what you get when you do something wrong.
Mommy: You mean S-I-N.
Graham: That is what I said ~ SKIN.

M: Why did you do that? Now you are going to have to take a time out for bothering your sister.
G: Jesus made me do it.

Bryce's favorite sayings lately:

Where are you?
I'm awake MOOOOOMMMMMM.
Don't bother me Bubba.
Hug you a minute. (when she wants me to hold her)

Layne's favorite sayings:

I did it!
I want to hug you. (when she wants me to hold her)
I miss you.
Where's daddy? Daddy at work?

Complete Randomness

It has been awhile since I have posted any pictures of the kids and the reason is 3 of the last 4 weeks I have been gone and since I have been home I can't stop watching the Olympics.
Here are just a couple of pics from my last and final trip of the summer, the year, and probably the next decade. It is Maui with 7 girlfriends, no husbands and no children. View from our condo
View from Mama's Fishhouse
1/2 the Hawaii Peeps ( I did not have any of all 8 of us.)

Fun with daddy

Buzz getting in on some of the laughs.
G plus F, a little L and some B on the side equals complete happiness:
Graham was able to have his BFF spend the ENTIRE day with him. He was in Heaven. Even the girls enjoyed spending the day with our special guest. I was taking a picture of G and F with their adorabale matching Hawaii shirts when Layne snuck in the photo as I snapped it. Bryce on the other hand waited for G and F to depart upstairs when she unloaded F's bag and put everything on. I even took all 4 kids to McDonald's for lunch. Someone even asked me if I had 2 sets of twins since G and F were dressed alike and B and L were also. I wish I had a picture of that but of course no camera with me at the time.
